Community Involvement
|
The members of the Underground Derby League are residents of the south Puget Sound area and are involved in a multitude
of social causes. We are committed to reaching out to our community and lending a helping hand where we can.
During 2011 season, we will be volunteering with a number of organizations.
The wide variety of interests among our skaters
provides our members with an incredible opportunity to meet new people and help organizations across our community.
Through our volunteer efforts, we hope to make a huge difference for the community that we love!

We select a featured charity for most bouts and raise money for this group through raffles and
donations promoted to our fans. Featured charities are typically selected by club leadership and usually have at least
one derby member who is an active and regular volunteer for the charity.
We also recruit members, family and friends to assist in outside fundraising events such as the annual Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation walk.
We also take great pride in supporting members of our larger skating community. UDL was a proud participant and supporter
of the "Bout for Breasts" organized by the Oly Rollers (and featuring the Puget Sound Outcasts - the local men's Roller
Derby team) to support a local skater in her fight against breast cancer, an
effort that raised more than $5,000.
As our league grows, we will working to support organizations making a difference across Puget Sound as well as members
of our local skating community!
